About Dr. Yegappan Muthukaruppan Dr. Yegappan Muthukaruppan is an orthopedic surgeon having more than 28 years of expertise. Services provided by him includes management of cartilage lesions in the knee and ankle and management of multiple ligament injuries of knee dislocations. The National University of Singapore School of Medicine awarded Dr. Yegappan Muthukaruppan his medical degree in 1992.  His sports medicine fellowship took place at the Methodist Sports Medicine Centre in Indianapolis, USA, from 2002 to 2003 after he finished his orthopaedic study in Singapore. His area of expertise is in the treatment of knee and ankle cartilage injuries.  Dr. Yegappan has used both first and second generation chondrocycte implantation procedures to address cartilage abnormalities. Additionally, he also has a special interest in the treatment of knee dislocations caused by numerous ligament injuries. In Singapore and the ASEAN region, he is a trainer for the ISAKOS basic and advanced arthroscopy workshops. He has made numerous trips to the ASEAN region to both educate and practise live surgery. Dr. Yegappan Muthukaruppan is fluent in English, Bahasa Indonesia, and Tamil.
