About Dr. Young Suk Park Dr. Young Suk Park is a Surgical Gastroenterologist based in Seongnam, South Korea with 22 years in the field. His expertise lies in gastric cancer, morbid obesity, and diabetes, and his research focuses on minimally invasive gastric cancer surgery (laparoscopic and robot surgery). He is one of the pioneers of single-port laparoscopic sleeve gastrectomy in South Korea and his other subspecialty includes bariatric and metabolic surgery.  He has published above 60 types of research papers in national and international journals. He is also the recipient of excellence awards in gastroenterology from reputed organizations such as the Korean Surgical Society, Korean Laparoscopic Gastrointestinal Surgery Study (KLASS), and more.
