About

Mr Colin Butler is a highly esteemed consultant ear, nose, and throat (ENT) surgeon who practices in renowned London hospitals, GOSH Private and The Portland Hospital. With over 15 years of experience, Mr Butler is experienced in many aspects of otolaryngological surgery and his areas of expertise include tonsillectomy, hearing loss, ear infection, adenoids, thyroid, and parathyroid surgery, and airway and tracheal reconstruction.  

Mr Butler graduated with his medical degree in 2004 from the University of London, adding to his bachelor of science in anatomy, which he was awarded in 2001. He undertook specialist surgical training in numerous leading London teaching hospitals. Whilst completing his training, he earned his PhD for his research into airway stem cell biology, specifically investigating regenerative methods for the airway.  

In addition to his clinical work, Mr Butler is actively involved research and has authored over one hundred publications. He is currently participating in an investigation at the Institute of Child Health into novel gene therapy approaches and mucosal sheet technology for the airway.
