About
Mr Rajnish Mankotia is a highly esteemed consultant colorectal surgeon currently practicing at the Ramsay West Midlands Hospital in Birmingham. He specialises in minimally invasive (keyhole) surgery for gallbladder and hernias.
He is also an expert in colonoscopy, anal fistula surgery and THD procedure for piles which is a cutting-edge operation which has revolutionised the surgical treatment of haemorrhoids (also known as piles). Mr Mankotia also practices colorectal resection, and emergency general surgery but to name a few.
Mr Mankotia, who successfully completed his medical training in Northern Ireland and the West Midlands respectively, possesses a specialist interest in inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) as well as benign anorectal pathologies. Mr Mankotia is also an expert in colonoscopy as a way of acurately and efficiently diagnosing and treating many bowel pathologies. He also specialises in water colonoscopy, a hugely effective new technique which incorporates the use of water rather than air in order to perform a colonoscopy procedure in a quicker and less painful fashion.
He is a JAG (Joint Advisory Group on Endoscopy) approved colonoscopy trainer and provides training to junior doctors. Mr Mankotia is the current surgical trauma lead and a core member of the Emergency Preparedness, Response & Recovery committee, and is also a senior academic tutor and examiner for the medical students.
To-date, the esteemed surgeon has published an extensive amount of publications for international medical journals. Prior to undertaking his current professional role as consultant colorectal surgeon, Mr Mankotia held the position as consultant for the highly reputable Frimley Park Hospital in Surrey, London.
