Mrs Dalia Said is a highly trained consultant ophthalmologist based in Nottingham. Her areas of expertise include refractive surgery, corneal treatments, cataract surgery, ocular surface treatment and treating dry eyes. She is also highly experienced in eye emergencies and holds a clinical lead role for eye casualty at Nottingham University Hospital.
Mrs Said graduated in 1994 from Assiut University in Egypt where she obtained her MBChB. She continued studying until 2005, acquiring her master’s degree in 1998 and a Doctor of Medicine degree in 2005. She then pursued her career in both the UK and Egypt. In 2014, she became a professor at the Research Institute of Ophthalmology in Cairo. During her time working in Cairo, she gained a vast amount of experience in refractive surgery, treating complex corneal infections and was a leading expert in treating keratoconus and performing collagen cross-linking procedures.
Mrs Said is considered an expert in her specialty and currently practices at the BMI The Park Hospital in Nottingham, and since 2014, has become a substantive consultant at the Nottingham University Hospital. During her training at this hospital, she completed two corneal and ocular surface fellowships and an oculoplastic fellowship.
