About Prof. Andreas Unterberg Prof. Andreas Unterberg is a well-known Neurosurgeon with over 38+ years of experience. He has professional membership of the  Executive Board of The German Interdisciplinary Association for Intensive Care and Emergency Medicine, Euro-Academy of Multidisciplinary Neurotraumatology, and President of the German Society of Neurosurgery and President of The German Society for NeuroIntensive and Emergency Medicine (DGNI). He did his medical schooling at the Justus-Liebig-University Gießen, Germany in 1974 and received a Doctor´s Degree from the Ludwig-Maximilians-University Munich, Germany in 1977.  He also has a Research Fellowship (DFG) from the Division of Neurological Surgery, Med. Coll. Virginia, Richmond, VA., the USA in 1985. He has performed more than 2000 operations on various brain tumors in Heidelberg and also has experience in more than 500 pituitary operations and 2,500 spine operations. Dr. Unterberg has published over 450 original articles in international journals listed in PubMed, as well as numerous book articles, books, and monographs.
