About Prof. Dr. Angelika Eggert Prof. Dr. Angelika Eggert is a Pediatric Oncologist with more than 27 years of experience in the field. She is a member of the German Society of Pediatrics, American Association for Cancer Research (AACR), German Society for Pediatric Hematology & Oncology (GPOH), and the International Society for Pediatric Oncology (SIOP) She completed her Medical School from the University of Essen in 1986, and Doctoral thesis (Dr. med.) from Essen Medical School with Prof. Dr. H. Esche, Dept. of Molecular Biology in 1991. He also completed her Postdoctoral Fellow (DKH + Wolfson Career Development Grant) from The Children s Hospital of Philadelphia in 1997. She has won awards such as Evans Prize from the “Advances in Neuroblastoma Research” (ANR) International Symposium, Philadelphia, Kind-Philipp Prize for Pediatric Oncology from the German Society for Pediatric Oncology and Hematology (GPOH), Young Investigator Award, American Assoc. for Cancer Research (AACR), etc. Her expertise lies in treating Pediatric blood disorders like Thalassemia, Sickle cell anemia, Hemophilia, Pediatric hemato-lymphoid malignancies like leukemia, lymphomas & Pediatric solid tumors like Wilm’s tumor, Neuroblastoma, Rhabdomyosarcoma, Hepatoblastoma, PNET, Osteosarcoma, etc. Dr. Eggert has worked on several research paper presentations at national and international forums.
