About Prof. Dr. Arndt Borkhardt Prof. Dr. Arndt Borkhardt is a Pediatric Oncologist with experience of over 30+ years. He is the Board Member of the European Society of Hematology (European Hematological Association – EHA), and a member of the National Academy of Sciences Leopoldina. He received his medical education at the Magdeburg Medical Academy in 1990 and later his Doctorate from the same institution.  Subsequently, he did his training for a Medical Specialist in Pediatrics, Center for Pediatrics at the Justus Liebig University Giessen in 1991. In 1999, he completed his Habilitation in Pediatrics in “Molecular genetics of chromosomes; aberrations in hemoblastosis in children”. He was also appointed an Assistant Professor at the Center for Pediatrics at the Justus Liebig University Giessen. His areas of interest are the leukemogenesis, bone marrow failure in children, bone marrow transplantation, stem cell transplant (autologous, allogenic & umbilical cord blood transplant), Antibody Therapy, etc. Dr. Borkhardt has presented many papers in national and international journals.
