About Prof. Dr. Artur Lichtenberg Prof. Dr. Artur Lichtenberg is one of the finest Cardiac Surgeons in Germany with the experience of 27+ years in the field. He is the Chairman of the Working Group on Tissue Engineered of Heart Valves of the German Society for Thoracic and Cardiovascular Surgery (DGTHG) since 2008. He has also been the Head of the Artificial Heart Program, Department of Cardiac Surgery at the University Hospital Heidelberg (2006-2009). He completed his Doctoral thesis defense at the Department of Cardiology, the University of Tuebingen in 1995. Dr. Lichtenberg’s area of interest includes Heart transplantation, Minimally Invasive Cardiac Surgery, Left Ventricular Aneurysm Surgery, Mitral Valve Repairs, Surgery for Heart Failure, ASD, VSD, Pulmonary Thromboendarterectomy, etc. He has composed over 100 scientific publications and articles in national and international journals.
