About Prof. Dr. Bernhard Meyer Prof. Dr. Bernhard Meyer is a Munich-based Neurosurgeon with over 31+ years of experience. He is the President of the German Society for Spine Surgery (2019); Chairperson of Education and Fellowship Committee, Eurospine (2015-2019), Chairperson of Spine Section, European Association of Neurosurgical Societies (2010-2019), and Former President of International Group for Advancement in Spinal Science (2014-2018) and German Academy of Neurosurgery (2015). He studied medicine at the Universities of Padua/Italy and Erlangen-Nürnberg and also trained abroad at Northwestern University, Chicago, and at the State University of New York, Brooklyn. Later, he completed his medical studies and earned his Ph.D. at the Institute for Human Genetics at the University of Erlangen-Nürnberg in 1989. He has also trained as a neurosurgeon in Tübingen, Duisburg, and Bonn and spent time abroad in Zurich/Switzerland and Phoenix AZ/USA. Dr. Meyer has exceptional experience in operating skull base tumors, spinal cord tumors, Pituitary (endoscopic technique), Cerebral vascular malformation (aneurysm, AVM), Complex spine (tumor, degeneration, anomaly, trauma), pediatric neurosurgery, etc. He has also penned and co-authored books and articles in national and state journals.
