About Prof. Dr. Brigitte Wildemann Prof. Dr. Brigitte Wildemann is a Neurologist based in Heidelberg with over 37+ years of experience. She is a member of the German Society for Neurology, German Neuroscientific Society, German Society for CSF Pathology and Clinical Neurochemistry, Working Group Neuro-AIDS, German Society for Neurology, American Academy of Neurology, and Research Group on Neurological Intensive Care, World Federation of Neurology. She is also Chair of the German Society for CSF Analysis and Clinical Neurochemistry, a founding member of the National Neuromyelitis Optica Study Group (NEMOS), and the Clinical Competence Network Multiple Sclerosis (KKNMS), and has been the principal investigator in numerous clinical trials. Her academic career started with Approbation/Medical Degree from the Universities of Regensburg and Heidelberg (Germany) and Montpellier (France) in 1976 and she completed her Habilitation from the University of Heidelberg in 1993. During residency training, she completed a research fellowship at the Department of Neurology and Neuroscience, Johns Hopkins University Baltimore, USA. She is the author of more than 200 research papers and reviews related to MS, NMOSD, and other immune-mediated neurological disorders.
