About Prof. Dr. Burkert Pieske Prof. Dr. Burkert Pieske is an Interventional Cardiologist with 25+ years of experience in the field. He is a Board Member of the Heart Failure Association (HFA) of ESC, member of the Austrian Cardiological Society, and President of Berlin-Brandenburg Gesellschaft für Herz-und Kreislaufforschung e.V. He has completed his degree in medicine at Ludwig-Maximilian-Universität in Munich and Université René Descartes in Paris. He has received various prestigious fellowships from the German Society of Cardiology, European Society of Cardiology (FESC), American Heart Association (FAHA), and American College of Cardiology (FACC). Prof. Pieske’s clinical interest lies in Interventional cardiology; intensive care medicine; primary and secondary prevention; heart failure, etc. He and his team have undertaken over 2,000 catheter-based surgical procedures. Along with being a guide and mentor to upcoming doctors, he has published several research-based articles in national as well as international journals.
