About Prof. Dr. Ertan Mayatepek Prof. Dr. Ertan Mayatepek is a well-known Pediatric Cardiologist, General Pediatrics, and Neonatology with 31+ years of experience in the field. He is the President of the German Society of Pediatrics and Adolescent Medicine (DGKJ), Deputy Dean of the Medical Faculty of the Heinrich Heine University Duesseldorf, and has also been on the board of the approximately 15,000 member scientific societies. He completed his study of medicine at the Heinrich Heine University Duesseldorf and Ohio Medical College, Toledo, Ohio, USA (Studienstiftung Cusanuswerk Foundation Scholarship). He also has a Postgraduate Scholarship from the German Research Foundation, Department of Tumor Biochemistry, German Cancer Research Center, Heidelberg in 1991, and a Diploma in Pediatric Infectology (German Society of Pediatric Infectiology) and Diabetology (German Society of Diabetology), additional qualifications in Pediatric Endocrinology, Diabetology, and Infectology. Dr. Mayatepek has a substantial and wide catalog of original publications in international journals, has authored several books, and been a member of the editorial board of various pediatric journals.
