About Prof. Dr. Gunter Seidel Prof. Dr. Günter Seidel is a neurologist with 30+ years of experience. His clinical interest includes neurovascular medicine (stroke), neurosonology, movement disorders (Parkinson’s syndromes) and cognition. He completed graduation from Justus Liebig University, Giessen followed by post-graduation. Dr. Seidel is a member of the German Society for Ultrasound in Medicine (DEGUM), German Society for Neurology (DGN), German Society for Neurological Intensive Care and Emergency Medicine (DGNI), German Society for Clinical Neurophysiology (DGKN), German Stroke Society (DSG), European Society of Neurosonology and Cerebral Hemodynamics (ESNCH), German Society for Neurorehabilitation (DGNR) and German Parkinson Society. He has authored many chapters for books and publications under his name in journals. He has won many awards including: Poster Prize of the German Society for Neurology (DGN) – 1999 and 2000 Science Award of the German Society for Ultrasound in Medicine (DEGUM) – 2003 3rd BVM Prize for an outstanding scientific contribution, image processing in medicine, Hamburg – 2006
