About Prof. Dr. Ingo Fietze Prof. Dr. Ingo Fietze is a Pulmonologist based in Berlin, Germany with 22+ years of experience. Since 2008, he has been the Vice President of the German Society for Sleep Research and Sleep Medicine (DGSM) and has been involved in the EU funded projects such as ENN, ANNDEE, SIESTA, etc. He received the Bial price for clinical medicine with an international group working on neurotelemedicine in the republic of Portugal and also received the Bill Gruen award for innovations in sleep research given by the American Sleep Research Society in 2008. He has a degree in Biomedicine/Biophysics from the University of Moscow and later acquired his second degree in medicine at the Humboldt University Berlin. He has also written his Ph.D. thesis on EEG rhythms in insomniacs and normals and studied sleep medicine in Marburg, Detroit, and San Diego.  Dr. Fietze has expertise in Ambulatory monitoring of sleep apnea, insomnia, circadian rhythm disorders, restless legs & hypersomnia, Cardiorespiratory Polysomnography including capnometry, esophageal pressure measurement, and blood pressure measurement. He has published more than 160 papers in national and international peer-reviewed journals and edited 6 books.
