About Prof. Dr. Jalid Sehouli Prof. Dr. Jalid Sehouli is an exceptional Gynecologist & Obstetrician with experience of more than 30 years. He is an executive board member of the Working Group Gynecological Oncology (AGO) and the North-East German Society for Gynecological Oncology (NOGGO), and a member of the European Society of Gynaecological Oncology (ESGO), the Gynecologic Cancer Intergroup (GCIG), the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO), and the Multinational Association of Supportive Care in Cancer (MASCC). He is also the head of the European Competence Center for Ovarian Cancer and is leading the gynecological oncology at all three Campus at Charité Medical University in Berlin. He studied medicine at the Freir Univerity, Berlin from 1989 to 1995, and later earned his doctorate in 1998. In 2005, he completed his habilitation at Humboldt-University, Berline with a postdoctoral thesis on “Multimodal Management of Malignant Ovarian Tumours”. He has received several recognitions such as the Roma Focus Award for his contributions to gynecological oncology, the Moroccan King Mohammed VI awarded him an order of merit for his scientific achievements (2016), and he also won a Diwan Award in Germany (2017). Dr. Sehouli has expertise in Gynecological Oncology, Minimal Invasive Surgery (Laparoscopic, Robotic), Urogynecology & Pelvic Reconstructive Surgery, Endometriosis Surgery, etc. He published the book “The Art of Breaking Bad News Well” in English as well as German language and is a co-author of a book about creative writing for cancer patients.
