About Prof. Dr. Karl-Ludwig Laugwitz Prof. Dr. Karl-Ludwig Laugwitz is a recognized Interventional Cardiologist with experience of 25+ years in the field. He has completed his Medical School at the Witten-Herdecke University and at the Free University of Berlin n 1996 and trained in Internal Medicine and Cardiology at the University Hospital Rechts der Isar and German Heart Center Munich (Technical University of Munich). He also completed his Habilitation in Medicine at the Technical University of Munich in 2002. Dr. Laugwitz received the Heisenberg Scholarship of the German Research Foundation at the Institute of Molecular Medicine, University of California, San Diego, La Jolla, USA. He is a highly skilled interventionist with vast experience in mitral valve clipping for mitral valve insufficiency, treatment of complex cardiac arrhythmias, catheter ablation for various arrhythmias, peripheral artery interventions, and routinely performs device closures for congenital heart diseases. He is a frequently cited German cardiologist (ISI) with over 240 publications and 8 patents.
