About Prof. Dr. Klaus-Peter Gunther Prof. Dr. Klaus-Peter Gunther is an Orthopaedic and Joint Replacement Surgeon with 35+ experience in the field. He is an active member of several National and International Scientific Societies such as the International Hip Society, European Hip Society, DGOOC, EFORT, etc, and also an Executive Board member of the European Federation of Orthopaedics and Traumatology (EFORT). He has been the President of German âArbeitsgemeinschaft Endoprothetikâ, and German Society of Orthopaedic Surgery DGOOC. He completed his Study of Medicine at LMU München in 1985, and Research Fellowship at Orthopaedic University Hospital Balgrist (Zürich) in 1989. He also has a âHarvard-Fellowshipâ (DGOOC), Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Boston in 2001. His key interest lies in Hip Replacement Surgery, Open Reduction of Fracture, Acromioclavicular Joint Repair, Repair of dislocations, Shoulder Labral Tears Surgery, Surgical decompression, Extensor mechanism realignment, Hip Arthroscopy, etc. Dr. Gunther has published numerous articles in orthopedics, rehabilitation, and biomechanics.
