About Prof. Dr. L. Christian Rump Prof. Dr. L. Christian Rump is a Nephrologist with 36+ years of experience in the field. He is a Board Member of the German Society of Hypertension, Reviewer of the German Research Foundation (DFG) for the Projects on Renal Function & Arterial Hypertension, and Head of the Working Group “Heart â Kidney” of the German Society Of Cardiology. He completed his Study of Medicine at the Faculty of Medicine at the Albert Ludwig University of Freiburg, Germany in 1978, and went on to Municipal Hospital for doctoral thesis defense (Dr. med.), University of Freiburg. Later, he completed his training for the Medical Specialist in Internal Medicine in 1993 and Nephrology in 1996, both from the University Hospital Freiburg. He has a keen interest in areas such as kidney transplant, diagnosis & treatment of kidney diseases such as chronic kidney disease, acute renal failure, glomerular nephritis, polycystic kidney diseases, kidney stone diseases, rare kidney diseases, etc. Dr. Rump has written various publications in peer-reviewed journals on chronic kidney diseases, autoimmune diseases of the kidney, and more.
