About Prof. Dr. Malte Kelm Prof. Dr. Malte Kelm is a well-known Interventional Cardiologist with 35+ years of experience in the field. He is a member of the American Heart Association (AHA), European Society of Cardiology (ESC), ESC Congress Programme Committee (CPC), German Cardiac Society (DGK), and Society of Nitric Oxide Research. He is also the Founding Member of the Heart Center Düsseldorf and Cardiovascular Research Institute Düsseldorf (CARID). He graduated from Universities Cologne in 1986 and further did his residency at the Department of Neurology, University Hospital Cologne, and Max-Planck-Institute for Brain Research from the same year. He also has a Postdoctoral Fellowship from the Department of Cardiovascular Physiology, University Düsseldorf and Clinical Research Centre, London in 1987, and a Fellowship, Division of Cardiology, University Hospital Düsseldorf in 1989. Dr. Kelm has extensive experience in Coronary artery disease, Myocardial infarction, Heart failure, Cardiac arrhythmias, Pacemaker- and ICD therapy, Interventional electrophysiology, etc. He has a large number of scientific awards and also on the editorial board of Basic Research in Cardiology, European Heart Journal, Clinical Research in Cardiology, and many more.
