About Prof. Dr. Mario Anders Prof. Dr. Mario Anders is a Berlin-based Medical Gastroenterologist with experience of more than 21+ years. He is a member of the German Society for Digestive and Metabolic Diseases, German Society for Endoscopy and Imaging Techniques e.V, German Cancer Society, Working group of internal oncologists, Society for Gastroenterology and Hepatology in Berlin and Brandenburg e.V., Association of gastroenterological specialists in internal medicine in Berlin e.V. He has named as the Top Medical Specialist “Gastroscopy“ by Focus Magazine in Germany. He has been a Research Fellow at the prestigious UCSF Cancer Center, San Francisco, the USA in 1999. He has a special interest in Endoscopic resection of adenomas and early cancers of the GI tract (i.e. early Barrett`s carcinoma), Dilatation and/or stenting of benign and malignant lesions, Removal of stones from the biliary and/or pancreatic ducts, Treatment of Achalasia (i.e. POEM), Barrett’s Esophagus, Chronic pancreatitis, Zenker’s diverticulum, etc. With his extensive knowledge, he has given various speeches both nationally and internationally.
