About Prof. Dr. Med. Christian Hagi Prof. Dr. Med. Christian Hagi is a qualified Cardiac Surgeon specialising in the treatment of coronary heart diseases, performing heart transplantations and combined heart and lung transplantations for 16 years. He holds professional memberships of several scientific societies and commissions. Between 2006-08, he served as the Board Member of the German Society of Cardiothoracic Surgery. He completed his medical studies and his Doctoral thesis at Heidelberg University. In 1998, he completed his Habilitation at the Hanover Medical School. He is an expert at diagnostics and surgical treatment of cardiac arrhythmias, Type A & B aortic dissection, mitral valve insufficiency, mitral stenosis and aortic valve diseases. He is a scientific reviewer of the Journal of Cardiac, Thoracic and Vascular Surgery.
