About Prof. Dr. Med. Florian Heinen Prof. Dr. Med. Florian Heinen is a leading Neurologist having a special focus on treating acute and chronic diseases of the nervous system in children for +21 years.  He holds the professional memberships of the Society for Clinical Neurophysiology and Functional Imaging, American Academy on Cerebral Palsy and Developmental Medicine (AACPDM), USA and the Working Party Botulinum Toxin of the German Society for Neurology of which he is a Chairman and Secretary. He is a scientific advisory board member of the German Dystonia Society (DDG) and Board member European Paediatric Neurology Society (EPNS).  In 1979, he completed his graduation in Human medicine from the Albert-Ludwigs-University, Freiburg Schooling and High School Diploma in Bonn. Beginning 1987 he completed his post-graduate studies the Albert-Ludwigs-University Freiburg in the fields of neurology, psychiatry and paediatrics with  child neurology as sub-speciality.   He is an expert at treating general neurological disorders, developmental disorders, neuroimmunological and neuromuscular diseases.  He is particularly interested in the research of epilepsy, migraine, headaches pediatric stroke, movement disorders and Fetal Alcohol Syndrome.  He has contributed several research papers to reputed journals.
