About Prof. Dr. med. Helmut Geiger Prof. Dr. med. Helmut Geiger is a nephrologist with 25+ years of experience. His clinical interest includes kidney transplant, dialysis in acute or chronic kidney failure and treatment for all types of hypertension. He heads the nephrology department that specializes in all hemodialysis procedures. The department houses 20 fully equipped places for hemodiafiltration and hemodialysis. Under his guidance, the department performs more than 2,700 kidney transplants and more than 380 operations for kidney donation from living donor. He is a member of the German Society of Nephrology.
