About Prof. Dr. med. Jens Werner Prof. Dr. med. Jens Werner is an Orthopaedic and Joint Replacement Surgeon with 27+ years of experience. He has been the Head of the scientific working group “Inflammation and Pancreas” and the “Upper GI Tract” working group.  He has studied human medicine in Heidelberg, Birmingham (UK), Baltimore (USA) from 1986 to 1993, and he has a Doctorate from the Medical Faculty of Heidelberg University. Moreover, he completed his Research Fellowship at Massachusetts General Hospital, Harvard Medical School Boston, USA with Prof. AL Warshaw, Surgeon-in-Chief (DFG scholarship) in 1995. His interests lie in Pelvic and Acetabular Fractures, Primary, Revision Hip Replacements; Primary, Revision Knee Replacements; Complex Upper, Lower Limb Trauma; Polytrauma and Failed Fixations salvage. Under his credit, there are numerous national and international publications.
