About Prof. Dr. Med. Jorg Christian Tonn Prof. Dr. Med. Jorg Christian Tonn is an acclaimed Neurosurgeon working in the field of surgical treatment of diseases of the central and peripheral nervous system for 30 years.  He holds professional memberships of the German Society for Neurosurgery, German Academy of Neurological Surgeons, Neurosurgical Academy for Further Education, European Association of Neurosurgical Societies, European Association of Neurooncology, American Association of Neurological Surgeons, Congress of Neurological Surgeons, USA, Academia Eurasiana Neurochirurgica, American Academy of Neurological Surgeons and the Society of Neuro-Oncology.  In 1983, he completed his medical studies from the Justus Liebig University in Giessen. Till 1990, he underwent specialist training for neurosurgery at the Neurosurgical Department, University Clinic in Giessen.  He is an expert in the treatment of tumours of the brain, spinal cord, meninges, skull base surgery, neurovascular diseases and epilepsy.  His special focus areas are clinical and experimental neuro-oncology.  He has authored scholarly articles for various publications that have received many citations.
