About Prof. Dr. Med. Nadia Harbeck Prof. Dr. Med. Nadia Harbeck is an expert in Mammology who has a reputation for diagnosing, treating and performing surgical procedures for malignant and benign breast diseases in women and men for +25 years.  Besides holding professional memberships of national and international breast cancer societies, Dr. Harbeck is the founder of GEMKOM and is a Steering Committee member of AGO Annual Breast Cancer Guidelines and German Interdisciplinary S3 Breast Cancer Guidelines. She is associated with the National SpR/SR Academic Fellowship Programme Committee (Ireland)  since 2009, the Swedish Research Council Medicine and Health since 2010 and K.G. Jebsen Foundation, Norway since 2011. She has co-chaired many scientific conferences too.  During 1983-89, she attended medical school at Ludwig-Maximilians-University. In 1993, she did her M.D at the same university and M.D, Ph.D in 1998. Till as recent as 2019, she has acquired specialisations in her field, worked as Associate Professor and consultant. Dr.Harbeck is an expert at performing surgical interventions for breast-related diseases, breast-conserving surgery, Mastectomy, open- and minimally-invasive interventions for breast tissue sampling. She also performs surgeries on the sentinel lymph nodes and the classical axillary lymph node surgery. Also included is breast reconstruction using implants or own tissues or a combination, preventive Mastectomy with immediate reconstruction and plastic surgery in benign breast changes.  She has many research papers to her credit that have received many citations.  She has led several clinical trials and has reviewed many national and international grant agencies and journals.
