About Prof. Dr. Med. Nikolaus Haas Prof. Dr. Med. Nikolaus Haas is a reputed Pediatric Cardiologist and has been treating children with congenital heart defects and cardiovascular disorders for +20 years.  During 1984-90, he completed his medical studies at the University of Heidelberg. Till 1996, he worked as Resident doctor at the pediatric cardiology departments of the universities of Heidelberg, German Heart Center, Berlin and also served as a medical faculty at Mannheim.  He is an expert at performing surgeries pertaining to congenital heart defects including hybrid interventions, ventricular septal defect closure, patent ductus arteriosus closure, atrial septal defect closure, embolisation in hypertrophic obstructive cardiomyopathy and treatment of aortic coarctation (including stent implantation). He has contributed research papers to various journals.
