About Prof. Dr. med. Norbert Schmitz Prof. Dr. med. Norbert Schmitz is a haematologist with 37+ years of experience His areas of expertise include hematopoietic chimerism, lymphoma and immune therapy, autologous and allogeneic bone marrow transplantation. He is a member of the German Society for Haematology and Oncology, European Group for Blood and Marrow Transplantation, American Society of Hematology, European Hematology Association and American Society of Clinical Oncology. Dr. Schmitz graduated from Justus Liebig University of Giessen and post-graduated from Justus-Liebig-University GieÃen. He completed training in internal medicine and in haematology from renowned hospitals. He is a president of Annual Meeting EBMT in Hamburg and president of the Annual Meeting of the German, Austrian and Swiss Societies for Haematology and Medical Oncology in Hamburg.
