About Prof. Dr. med. Rainer Duchmann Prof. Dr. med. Rainer Duchmann is a gastroenterologist with 22+ years of experience. His clinical focus includes colonoscopy, colon polyps and cancer, hepatitis, gastroesophageal reflux, colitis, gallbladder and biliary tract disease, Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS) and pancreatitis. He did a fellowship from the European Board of Gastroenterology & Hepatology (FEBG). He is a member of the Association of Internal Oncology (AIO), German Society for Internal Medicine, International Society of Mucosal Immunology, German Cancer Society, German Society for Digestive and Metabolic Diseases (DGVS), German Society for Immunology and American Association of Immunologists. Dr. Duchmann is on the editorial board of World Journal of Gastroenterology and on the advisory board of the German M. Crohn Colitis Ulcerosa Association. He has won the Award of an extraordinary professorship at the Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin and 1st research award of the German Crohn’s Disease.
