About Prof. Dr. Mert Yilmaz Prof. Dr. Mert Yilmaz is a world-renowned Pediatric Cardiac Surgeon with 25+ years of experience in the field. He is an active member of the Society of Thoracic Surgeons (USA), European Association of Cardiothoracic Surgery, European Society for Vascular Surgery, and Turkish Cardiovascular Surgery Association. He has experience in Adult and Pediatric Cardiac surgeries with 10000 cases and has a mortality rate of 0 in a series of 200 cases in minimally invasive cardiac surgeries. He graduated from Istanbul University Faculty of Medicine in 1988. He started his residency program at the Uludag University Bursa and actively took part in surgeries in the department of vascular surgery as Registrar at Royal South Hants Hospital in Southampton, England.  He is adept in performing surgeries such as minimally invasive surgery (port access surgery, midcap coronary bypass surgery, robotic valve or coronary bypass surgery), aortic aneurysm surgery such as (Bentall procedure, David operations, Ross procedures, homograft implantations & arcus replacements) ECMO and Cardiac transplantation. Dr. Yilmaz has several articles and publications in national as well as international journals.
