About Prof. Dr. Michael Schutz Prof. Dr. Michael Schutz is a renowned Orthopaedic and Joint Replacement Surgeon with 27+ years in the field. He is a current member and past Chair of the AO Asian Trauma Working Group with surgeons from China, Japan, India, and Korea, and in 2011, he was appointed as the Chair of the AO Exploratory Research Board. He undertook his medical training at the Philips University Marburg and Ludwig Maximilian University Munich in Germany in 1989.  He is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (FRACS), (FaOrth) as an Orthopaedic Surgeon, and specializes in trauma care including upper/lower limb trauma, pelvic, spine, pediatric, etc.  He is the current theme co-ordinator for the Diamantina Health Partners flagship theme; Integrated Trauma Centre. Professor Schuetz has close international research collaborations with Kitasato University Tokyo, Humboldt University Berlin, the Institute for Biomechanics in Ulm Germany, and the AO Research Institute in Davos, Switzerland. He is a reviewer for several journals and holds positions on national and international research and development boards.
