About Prof. Dr. Rainer Schmelzeisen Prof. Dr. Rainer Schmelzeisen is an Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon with 23 years of experience in the field. He is a member of the Maxillofacial Expert Group of the AO Foundation and Board of Directors of the Medical Center – University of Freiburg. He completed his graduation from the University of Mainz in 1976 and later also has a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons, London (FRCS) in 2004. Dr. Schmelzeisen has expertise in Virtual Surgical Planning, Preformed Implants/Osteosynthesis, Biomaterials, etc. He has publications in several journals and has attended workshops and seminars to improve his clinical skills.
