About Prof. Dr. Stefan Burdach Prof. Dr. Stefan Burdach is a General Paediatrician with experience of more than 40+ years. He is a member of the Scientific Programme Advisory Committee SIOP, Scientific Advisory Board EOS Biotechnology, International Society of Pediatric Oncology (SIOP), American Society of Hematology (ASH), American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO), American Society for Cancer Research (AACR), and German Society of Pediatrics and Adolescent Medicine (DGKJ e.V.). He is also on the Advisory Board & Examination Board of the Bavarian State Medical Association in Pediatric Hematology and Oncology, Board of Trustees of the Institute for Diabetes Mellitus Research (Chairman), Reviewer in the German Research Foundation, Deutsche Krebshilfe e.V., Wilhelm Sander Foundation and Foundation for Children with Cancer, and many more. In 1980, he obtained a doctorate at the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Cologne and did his Habilitation at the Faculty of Medicine, Heinrich Heine University Duesseldorf, Venia Legendi (Pediatrics) in 1989. He is also a Fellow at Section of Hematology, Stanford University Medical Center, Stanford, CA, USA, and Visiting Fellow and Primary Care Physician, Bone Marrow Transplantation Program at Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center, Seattle, WA, USA. Prof. Burdach’s preliminary emphasis is on treating tumors of the colon liver, biliary tract, and pancreas, thyroid, lung, etc
