About Prof. Dr. Stefan Fichtner-Feigl Prof. Dr. Stefan Fichtner-Feigl is a General & Visceral Surgeon with experience of more than 20 years. He studied medicine at the Julius Maximilians University of Würzburg in 1993 and started working as a Resident at the Clinic and Polyclinic for Surgery at the University of Würzburg in 2002. He also has a Research Fellowship in Mucosal Immunity Section from the National Institutes of Health, Bethesda, Maryland, USA. He is the Clinical Director of the Tumor Center Freiburg (CCCF) at the University Medical Center Freiburg and Deputy Director of the Clinic and Polyclinic for Surgery at the University of Regensburg (Prof. Dr. HJ Schlitt). Additionally, he has won various recognitions such as the Scientific Award, Bavarian Society of Gastroenterology; Otto-Goetz-Award, Bavarian Society of Surgery; Rudolf-Nissen-Award, German Society of General and Visceral Surgery, and many more. He continues to serve in the field of general surgery while also writing publications and articles in prestigious journals.
