About Prof. Dr. Stefan Schwab Prof. Dr. Stefan Schwab is a well-known Neurologist with experience of over 32+ years in the field. He serves as the President of the German Society for Neurointensive and Emergency Medicine (DGNI), the annual congress of the German Society for Neurology in Mannheim, and former President of the German Interdisciplinary Association for Intensive Care and Emergency Medicine. He studied medicine in Erlangen and Munich in 1988 and started as a scientific assistant at the neurological university clinic in Würzburg. He has also completed various study visits and at Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore. Dr. Schwab’s interest includes all areas of clinical neurology – including the diagnosis and therapy of degenerative, inflammatory, and neuromuscular diseases of the nervous system, the entire spectrum of stroke diagnosis and therapy, etc. He is an author and co-author of 450 articles as well as book chapters and monographs listed in PubMed.
