About Prof. Dr. Varocha Mahachai Prof. Dr. Varocha Mahachai is a senior and a leading Medical Gastroenterologist with +45 years of extensive experience. Her major interests include hepatology, endoscopy with special interests in hepatitis, fatty liver, GERD, IBS, IBD, colon cancer, peptic ulcer disease, H. pylori hepatobiliary and pancreatic disease. She is a Director of Digestive Wellness Clinic, the National Gastric Cancer and the Helicobacter Pylori Research Center, Thailand.  Prof. Dr. Varocha Mahachai is a member of the Thai Medical Council, the American Board of Internal Medicine and the American Board of Gastroenterology. She is a fellow of the American College of Gastroenterology (FACG) and a Fellow of the Royal College of Physician, Canada (FRCPC). Prof. Dr. Varocha Mahachai has several publications, journals, and articles to her name.   She has completed MD (1976) from Chulalongkorn University, Thailand. Prof. Dr. Varocha Mahachai did her Postgraduate Medical Training in Medicine and Gastroenterology from the University of Alberta, Edmonton, Canada. She did MSc from the University of Alberta, Edmonton, Canada. She later obtained a Postdoctoral Fellow in Clinical Pharmacology from the University of California, San Francisco. Prof. Dr. Varocha Mahachai is well-versed in English and Thai.
