About Prof. Dr. Wolfgang Rascher Prof. Dr. Wolfgang Rascher is a renowned General Paediatrician with 44+ experience in the field. He is the Member of the Commission for Drug Safety of the German Society of Pediatrics and Adolescent Medicine, Commission A of the Federal Institute for Drugs and Medical Devices (BfArM), Ethics Committee of the Bavarian State Medical Association (Consultant in Pediatrics), and Pediatric Expert Group (PEG) of the European Medicines Agency (EMEA). He has been the Deputy Chairman of the Expert Committee on Medicines in Childhood and Adolescence at BfArM, and current Chairman of the Clinical Ethics Committee at the University Hospital Erlangen, and the Commission for Medicines for Children and Adolescents at the BfArM. He has in-depth knowledge about child care and has been practicing in some of the prestigious institutions of Germany. He pursued the Study of Human Medicine at the Universities of Cologne and Heidelberg between 1970 to 1976, and Doctoral thesis defense at the Clinical Institute for Heart Attack Research, University Hospital Heidelberg. He also has done Research Fellowship at the Pharmacological Institute of the University of Heidelberg in 1981 and Board certification in Pediatrics, venia legendi in Pediatrics, Clinical Pharmacology in 1987.
