About Prof. Gujeong Kang Prof.Gujeong Kang is a reputed General surgeon of +25 years with a special focus on hepatobiliary and pancreatic surgeries. Prof. Kang is a specialist at performing surgical procedures on the pancreas and liver, liver transplant, treating hepatocellular carcinoma, cholangiocarcinoma, gall bladder cancer and hepatitis. His research interests include hepatic ischemia/reperfusion injury to prevent hepatic injury for clinical and experimental research, the prognostic significance of anatomical resection of the Hepatocellular Carcinoma (HCC). He is also keenly interested in the gene expression analysis impact on the prognosis of HCC. Prof. Kang also has interests in appropriate surgical extent of the bile duct carcinoma and the gall bladder depending on their stages. He has authored several research papers and essays on the medico-surgical field. He has recorded personal experience during his clinical practice and published three books. One of the books was awarded the Best Non-fiction Book of the Year in 2003.
