About Prof. Jeong-Heum Baek Prof. Jeong-Heum Baek is a General Surgeon with +10 years of experience with special focus on laparoscopic/robotic surgery for colon and rectal cancer. He also offers chemotherapy treatment for rectal cancer.  He is a reputed surgeon who has featured in Marquis Who’s Who in 2013 and has received awards too. Prof. Baek did his MD, MS and Ph.D from the Hanyang University College of Medicine. He underwent training at The Cleveland Clinic Foundation, Department of Colorectal, Minimally Invasive Surgery Center Ohio, USA as a researcher in 1997. In 2008, he received training at the City of Hope National Cancer Center, Oncology & Robot Surgery Center, Los Angeles, California, USA as an Exchange Professor.  Prof. Baek’s association with Gachon University – Gil Medical Center dates back to 2003, where he began as Associate Professor and held the position of Director at medical centers of the hospital. Prof. Baek is a specialist in laparoscopic surgery for rectal and colon cancer. He practices surgical oncology too. He also offers chemotherapy for rectal cancer besides treating anal diseases. His contributions to reputed journals deal with his findings in surgeries performed during his career.
