About Prof. Matthias Gorenflo Prof. Matthias Gorenflo is a well-known Pediatric Cardiologist with 32+ years of experience in the field. He is a member of the German Society for Pediatric Cardiology (DGPK), German Society for Cardiology (DGK), German Society for Neonatology & Pediatric Intensive Care Medicine (GNPI), and the Association for European Pediatric and Congenital Cardiology (AEPC). He was also the Chairman of the working group “Genetics, Basic Science and Inherited Muscle Disease” of the AEPC from 2011-2014. He completed his graduation from Freiburg University Medical School, Germany in 1979, and later did a Research Fellowship, DFG grant at the Institute of Child Health, Hospital for Sick Children, London (UK) in 1994.  He completed his Habilitation at the University of Heidelberg in “The pulmonary endothelin system and its importance for pulmonary hypertension in children” in 2002. He has expertise in congenital heart defects, specialized intensive care ward, intracardiac catheter lab with rotational angiography/MRI/cardiac CT Pediatrics Angiography. He has written nearly 200+ articles and publications in peer-reviewed national and international journals.
