About Prof. Son Young Gil Prof. Son Young Gil is a Gastrointestinal Surgeon with +20 years of experience in treating diseases, disorders and cancers of the GI tract. Prof. Gil is a professional member of the Korean Surgical Society, the Korean Gastric Cancer Association, Korean Society of Surgical Metabolism and Nutrition and the Korean Society of Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery.  Prof. Gil acquired his education at the Kyungpook National University College of Medicine in 1999. A decade later he completed his Master’s degree from the Keimyung University Graduate School, followed by Ph.D in 2014. He is an expert gastric cancer surgeon and laparoscopic distal gastrectomy.
