About Prof. Yaron Ilan, M.D Prof. Yaron Ilan is a well-known Gastroenterologist with over four decades of medical experience. He specializes in liver and bowel immunology.  Prof. Yaron has been instrumental in establishing several startup companies. He has worked at Exalenz Bioscience Ltd. and worked as the President of the Israel Liver Association from 2005 to 2008. He has also served as the Vice Dean at the Hebrew University Medical School.  He has been actively involved in the development of immunomodulatory drugs for fatty liver disease and diabetes as well as therapies for inflammatory bowel diseases. He holds more than 50 patents for discoveries based on his research and has written over 250 articles. He also serves as the Medical Director and Advisor for several biotech companies.
